Nin - Zadar
Nin is the oldest Croatian royal town and the cradle of Croatian culture. Exceptionally preserved cultural monuments, especially wellknown old-Croatian churches from 9th and 19th century, are unique in Croatia and in the wider Mediterranean area.
It is located on a small island in the middle of a shallow lagoon, so it's distance from city of Zadar is merely 14 km. Together with it's sorrounding area, Nin offers excellent conditions for rest and recreation, especially for health tourism. Around Nin are several long sand lagoons, far from trafic, industrial areas and noise, with special microclimatic characteristics. The largest known Adriatic deposits of marine mud, peloids, are here. It's application in medicine purposes runs from Roman era to the present.
There are opportunities for sport and recreation, sport fishing and hunting tourism. Tourist resort offers accomodation in beautiful and modern appartments, and in a large auto-camp, situated in a large pine forest.
